A Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology, a Fellow of the Tropical Grassland Society of Australia and Hon Senior Fellow, Central Queensland University. I am a past President of the Australian Rangeland Society and the Tropical Grassland Society of Australia; recipient of a Centenary Medal for ‘services to Australian society in the field of ecology’

Its a long list of credentials but Dr Bill Burrows has put a lifetime into researching Queensland woodlands. “This is madness, it is unjust” Dr Burrows is frustrated, he finds it crazy that a government could complete ignore the science that they themselves have commissioned and paid for. Its unjust for the scientists and its unjust for the people who are caretakers of the land. Dr Bill Burrows would like to tell you a true story: From the heart of Queensland.
